Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. Combine your oats, brown sugar, flax, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  • Melt butter and add honey to a small saucepan.
  • Once this simmers remove it from heat and rapidly stir in the extract.
  • Mix this well, and pour it over the dry mixture. You will need to mix this up thoroughly to get an even coat.
  • Place this on a greased cookie-sheet and bake for 20 mintues or so.
  • Once finished let it cool and ziplock it!

Very good. I added raisins, so mine was like Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, and I added wheat germ because I have it. :) I make a lot of granola, as I eat it,daily, and this was an easy, basic recipe that is always tasty. :) Thank you, Justin!

Sounds really good. I like granola, but most prepackaged granola contains nuts or seeds that I am allergic too. Now I have a basic recipe that I will be able to use as is or add more to depending on what I am hungry for. Thanks.

OMG, this recipe is fabulous! I used a cereal blend of oats, barley and rye purchased at my local Trader Joe's. I also used only 3 1/2 cups oat mixture and added 1/4 cup raw sunflower seeds and 1/4 cup diced walnuts. Also used Avocado honey. A must is real butter. This is so very healthy. I have been having it for breakfast with fresh sliced apricots and raspberries from my orchard. Hate to admit it but then put fresh heavy cream (50 grams of fat per tablespoon) on top. This is a keeper for sure. Thanks, Justin.

Very tasty. The first time I made it I forgot the brown sugar - couldn't figure out why it wouldn't stick together - LOL. I add wheat germ also to up the health factor.

Served the granola crumbled over honey vanilla mascarpone and berries. A perfect breakfast in bed recipe!

Oh my goodness. This was darn good Justin. I've been snacking on my ziplock full of it all day. Although in the quantities i'm consuming it probably isn't all that "healthy" anymore. :)
