Creole Seafood Seasoning Recipe
This is not cajun. It is New Orleans Creole, which is not peppery hot. Keeps indefinitely in airtight jar. Use on shrimp, fish, or any seafood.

Ingredients
  • 3 tbs granulated or powdered onion
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 2 tbs thyme
  • 2 tbs oregeno
  • 1 tbs basil
  • 1/4 cup granulated garlic
  • 1/4 cup restaurant grind pepper
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 2 tbs cayenne pepper

Directions
  1. Mix well. keep in airtight glass jar.

I imagine you could leave out some of the heat without changing the taste much?

perhaps you meant 1/4 cup paprika? 14 cups seems a bit overpowering a flavor.
