Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 chicken pieces,trimmed
  • 4 tspn ginger and garlic paste
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tblspn ghee
  • 1 tblspn oil
  • 1 large onion,ground to a paste
  • 4 whole cardamom
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 pieces cinnamon
  • 2 tspn coriander powd
  • 1 tspn cumin powd
  • 2 tspn chilli powd
  • 2 tspn cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup youghurt
  • 1/2 cup tinned cream
  • few strands saffron dissolved in 1/4 cup hot milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander
  • salt to taste

Directions
  1. rinse and drain meat
  2. combine ginger and garlic paste,nuts and blend with water til smooth
  3. heat ghee and oil and fry onions and whole spices
  4. stir in garlic paste and cook for 5 min
  5. add meat,mix well
  6. lower heat add salt and cook for 2o min
  7. beat youghurt and add gradually
  8. when meat is tender and fairly dry add cream,saffron and coriander
  9. simmer for 5-10 min
  10. serve with basmati rice or butter naan
