Ingredients

How to make it

  • For the cream
  • Heat milk keeping a few spoonfuls cold milk to add to mixture.
  • In another sauce pan we add the flour and corn flour mixture, the egg yolks, sugar, orange essence and the cold milk and stir well with an egg beater.
  • When the milk is hot pour to mixture stirring constantly until cream is thick.
  • Add butter and stir.
  • For the syrup
  • 3 spoonfuls orange jam
  • ½ cup of fresh orange juice
  • 1 spoonful of orange liqueur
  • In a bowl put some orange liqueur and some milk and wet the biscuits.
  • For the Syrup
  • Put jam, orange juice and orange liqueur in a small sauce pan and boil for five minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool down before using.
  • When cooling serve syrup on top of dessert. Keep the rest in refrigerator to use later on.
  • The spoon sweet is better to be placed on top of the cream last minute as the cream may crack when placed before.
  • Happy Woman’s Day!

I love to learn about your tradition! It looks like our tradition with the mimosa in Provence. Deliciously fruity recipe! I am going to taste it with an orange wine. Thanks for your post!
