From divaliscious 16 years agoIngredients
- 3-1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1-1/4 cups water 120 degrees shopping list
- 3/4 of quick rising yeast package shopping list
- 1 onion minced shopping list
- 3-4 garlic cloves minced shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 3-4 tablespoons FRESH minced cilantro shopping list
- 2 teaspoons fresh dried thyme shopping list
- 2 tablespoons lavender shopping list
- 1-2 teaspoons of fresh dried rosemary shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper shopping list
- 2 tablespoons honey shopping list
- 2-1/2 tablespoons olive oil shopping list
How to make it
- The long cooking time is how long my bread setting takes including the rising periods - so yours maybe slightly less or more depending...
- My machine asks for the yeast last and liquids first...so follow your instructions of your bread machine...If your's asks for it last, then add yeast, then flour then the liquids and salt.
- My machine also says to add liquids with salt so that salt stays away from yeast before it's ready to mix.
- ***Ok here we go...
- Add salt, water, honey and olive oil first to bread pan.
- Measure flour out in separate bowl,
- Cut up onions and garlic mincing both and add to flour in bowl.
- Then add all herbs and pepper. My cilantro was fresh which is important, but my thyme and rosemary were freshly dried (from packages of fresh herbs that were left over and I had allowed to dry in bowls on top of the fridge for a few days)
- Stir flour with herbs, pepper, onion and garlic till all is mixed well.
- Add to bread pan and create a small well for adding yeast,
- Add yeast and place bread pan into machine.
- Select normal setting - but do check on loaf after first five minutes to make sure enough water has created a ball of dough - if you need to add a couple of tablespoons of water, do so now at this point. (I was a bit careless with measuring the flour exactly so I had to add a little water)
- Let bread machine do its thing - and share one heck of a loaf of bread!
