My Favorite Mac And Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

7 ounces dried macaroni

1/4 cup butter

3 Tbls.flour

2 cups milk

8 Ounces cream cheese

1/2 Tsp.salt

1/2 Tsp.black pepper

2 Tsp.Dijon mustard

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup bread crumbs

2 Tbls.butter

2 Tbls.chopped fresh parsley

Directions

Preheat oven to 400.

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil.Add macaroni and cook 8-10 minutes,or until al dente.,drain in colander.

In a 3 Qt saucepan over medium heat,melt butter,stir in flour.Cook for one minute,stirring occasionally,until smooth.Add milk,creamcheese,salt,pepper,and mustard.Continue cooking until thickened,stirring a few times.

In a large bowl add sauce to cooked macaroni,add shredded cheese,stir together.Pour into a 2 Qt greased casserole dish.In a small bowl combine bread crumbs,butter and parsley.Spread over top of macaroni mixture.Bake for 15-20 minutes,or until golden brown.Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
