- Can be stored in fridge for several weeks.

- Having never made this before I didn't want to use that many ingredients for experiment sake so I cut the recipe down. I used:
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup + 2 tbls sugar
- 2 tbls butter
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
- I got the equivalent of 1 can of Eagle Brand this way.
- Make sure you keep that low, rolling boil going steady for an hour or a bit more. It's essential in thickening. Just make sure your pot is big enough so you don't have a boil over!
- This is definitely a keeper and a recipe I will continue to use!
