Onion And Blue Cheese Foccacia Recipe
Magnificent. One of the easiest yet best tasting breads I have ever tasted. I make it often and it always impresses.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups white onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 Italian flat bread
  • 1/4 cup sun dried tomatoes chopped
  • 3 ounces blue cheese crumbled

Directions
  1. Cook onions in butter over low heat in medium skillet until very tender and lightly browned then stir in sage.
  2. Arrange onions on bread and sprinkle with tomatoes and cheese.
  3. Bake at 350 until bread is hot and cheese is melted.
  4. Cut in wedges.

This was great-- I used the topping on my own homemade pizza-style bread, adding crumbled sage to the dough. It got raves. The combination of the sweet onions, the chewy tomatoes and the salty cheese was perfect.


Delicious, really wonderful. Nice post.


This sounds like my sorta bread!! I'll try this also with the Roast leftovers on top for weekend lunch for the kids.....
