These are so good. Goes great with anything. If you like leeks this is the recipe for you. These are very tasty and very impressive. I usually serve them with steak but they also good good with poultry or fish.

Ingredients
  • 8 large leeks
  • 1 small white onion
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Prepare leeks and keep them whole.
  2. Skin onion and chop finely.
  3. Melt 1/2 of the butter and fry leeks and onion until leeks are just gilded and onion is transparent.
  4. Transfer to ovenproof casserole which will hold the leeks in 2 layers.
  5. Pour tomato juice over leeks.
  6. Combine Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and sugar and mix well.
  7. Drizzle over tomato juice.
  8. Dot with remaining butter.
  9. Cover casserole and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
