Wow Those Are Some Super Spicy Deep Fried Mushrooms Recipe

Lots of flavor!! My hubby's favorite appetizer.

Ingredients
- 1 lb.large mushrooms (whole)
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 C.flour
- 1/2 C.cornmeal
- 2 T.each:garlic powder,italian seasoning,oregano,black pepper
- 1 T.ground red pepper flakes
- dash cayenne pepper
- 1 T.Louisiana hot sauce
- shortening
Directions
- Melt shortening in hot skillet.
- Wash and dry mushrooms,set aside.
- Add 1/2 the spices plus hot sauce to egg mixture.
- Combine remaining spices w/cornmeal and flour.
- Dip whole mushrooms in egg,then in flour mixture.
- Deep fry until dark-golden brown.
- Blot on paper towels and sprinkle w/hot sauce or dip in ranch dressing.
- Yowser-too yummy!!!
