How to make it

  • Melt shortening in hot skillet.
  • Wash and dry mushrooms,set aside.
  • Add 1/2 the spices plus hot sauce to egg mixture.
  • Combine remaining spices w/cornmeal and flour.
  • Dip whole mushrooms in egg,then in flour mixture.
  • Deep fry until dark-golden brown.
  • Blot on paper towels and sprinkle w/hot sauce or dip in ranch dressing.
  • Yowser-too yummy!!!
