Beer -Ah what a versatile ingredient- is there anything it can't do?-A simple twist on classic stew with a very distinct hoppy flavour depending on the beer you use-The darker and more flavourful the better I think

Beer really does make everything taste better. Can't wait to try this recipe. Ever used it to steam mussels or clams? My Dad used to do this at least twice a month in the summer for family get togethers. He added sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob among other things. Boy, I sure do miss that! Thanks for posting the recipe.

I added Guinness to our Corned Beef Brisket yesterday along with a bit of broth, soo good. Also made my first Irish soda bread, without the raisins, barf. And it was so easy and tasty, it would go great with this. Love the name, beery beef stew ^_^

Beer is a cook's friend - in or out of the sauce. Great post. = )
