Beery Beef Stew

- 500g Lean good quality stewing steak diced shopping list
- knob of butter , few tablespoons of olive oil shopping list
- 1 large onion chopped finely shopping list
- 4 cloves of garlic crushed shopping list
- 1 heaped tblspoon of flour shopping list
- bay leaves shopping list
- Diced carrotts , leeks/turnips/parsnips/mushrooms/potatoes shopping list
- 500ml of good quality dark bock beer or equivalent shopping list
- 500 ml of good quality beef stock shopping list
- sea salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Brown the meat in a hot pan with the garlic/onion oil/butter and add the flour
- add veggies and bay leaf and stir for 10 mins
- Add the beer and turn up the heat to reduce for about 5 mins
- Add the beef stock and turn down to simmer for 30 mins
- Salt and pepper to taste

I added Guinness to our Corned Beef Brisket yesterday along with a bit of broth, soo good. Also made my first Irish soda bread, without the raisins, barf. And it was so easy and tasty, it would go great with this. Love the name, beery beef stew ^_^
