Whiskey Sour Sirloin Dated 1959 Recipe
This is incredible. I obtained this from an estate sale severla years ago and tried it immediately. We all love it and I serve it often. My husband's golf partners begs me to make this for him.

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds sirloin
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/4-cup whiskey
  • 12 peppercorns
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions
  1. Place steak in shallow baking dish.
  2. In small saucepan combine remaining ingredients except orange then simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Pour sauce over meat then top with orange slices and cover.
  4. Refrigerate 6 hours turning occasionally then remove from marinade and grill or broil as desired.
  5. Heat remaining marinade and serve with steak.
