Sour Cream Corn Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • DRY INGREDIENTS
  • 1 c Cornmeal
  • 3 3/8 c Unbleached flour
  • 3 T Sugar
  • 1 1/2 t Cream of tartar
  • 1 t Baking soda
  • 1/2 t Salt
  • WET INGREDIENTS
  • 1 c Sour cream
  • 1/4 c Milk
  • 1 lg Egg
  • 2 T Vegetable oil

Directions
  1. Mix together the dry ingredients.
  2. Beat together the wet ingredients.
  3. Combine the dry and wet ingredients. Spoon into a well-buttered 8-inch or 9-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees F. and bake for 15 additional minutes.
  5. Serve warm, directly from the baking pan. Or allow to cool for 10 min.,
  6. then remove from the pan.
