Made this to put on corn on the cob and have since used it on potatoes, rice, and pasta....Have been known to spread some on a slice of bread too.

Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2/3 cups shallots, chopped
  • 2 tbls. fresh thyme, chopped or 2 tsp. dried

Directions
  1. Melt 2 tbls butter over medium heat
  2. Add shallots and saute until golden brown, a couple minutes
  3. Cool
  4. Add remaining ingredients and blend well
  5. Salt and pepper

Very nice one, dear. I can see this tucked under the chicken skin and roasted. Or melted over some veggies. Love compound butter and shallot are a favorite.


I have made this several times and it never looks like the picture... what gives?
