How to make it

  • To start add half the butter and the flour to a pot on medium cook for one minute.
  • Add the chopped onion and sweat until translucent
  • Whisk mixture until smooth add th water little at a time while whisking.
  • Add all the rest of the Vegetables, dried mushrooms and turn up the heat to medium high.
  • Simmer for 20 minutes un covered and reduce to about half and is thickened
  • In the mean time cube the chicken free nuggets and distribute them evenly on bottom of the pie .
  • Combine the Toasted Wheat Germ and the Italian Style Bread crumbs
  • Place the filling on top of the nuggets
  • cover with bread crumb mixture and dot with remaining butter.
  • Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
  • Remove from oven when golden brown, let cool and serve.
