Whimpys Vegitarian Chicken Free Pot Pie

- 1 pound of equal amounts red and Yukon gold fingerling potatoes. shopping list
- 4 cups of water shopping list
- 1 cup mustard greens chopped shopping list
- 1 cup sweet corn shopping list
- 1 cup carrots shopping list
- 1 package dried mushrooms broken up into 1/2 inch pieces. shopping list
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided. shopping list
- 3 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoon sea salt shopping list
- 1 dash soy sauce shopping list
- fresh ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 package frozen Hot chicken Free Nuggets thawed shopping list
- 1 cup Italian style bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 cup toasted wheat germ shopping list
- 1/2 spanish onion chopped shopping list
- 3 tablespoons water to moisten bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 tablespoon mushroom powder shopping list
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast. shopping list
- a pinch of dried sage. shopping list
- 1 whole wheat pie crust shopping list
How to make it
- To start add half the butter and the flour to a pot on medium cook for one minute.
- Add the chopped onion and sweat until translucent
- Whisk mixture until smooth add th water little at a time while whisking.
- Add all the rest of the Vegetables, dried mushrooms and turn up the heat to medium high.
- Simmer for 20 minutes un covered and reduce to about half and is thickened
- In the mean time cube the chicken free nuggets and distribute them evenly on bottom of the pie .
- Combine the Toasted Wheat Germ and the Italian Style Bread crumbs
- Place the filling on top of the nuggets
- cover with bread crumb mixture and dot with remaining butter.
- Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
- Remove from oven when golden brown, let cool and serve.
