Beer And Molasses Barbecue Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups chili sauce, bottled

3/4 cup molasses

3/4 cup beer

2 tbls. dijon mustard

2 tbls. chili powder

2 tsp. soy sauce

2 tsp. hot pepper sauce(I use Franks)

1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice, fresh

1 tsp. liquid smoke

Directions

Mix all ingredients into saucepan

Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally

Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until sauce thickens and reduces to about 2 cups, stirring occasionally.

Cool before using

Brush often the last 15 minutes of cooking and it will create a beautiful shiny glaze
