Custardy Pear Bars

- 1/2 c butter, softened shopping list
- 1/3 c sugar shopping list
- 3/4 c flour shopping list
- 1/4 t vanilla shopping list
- 2/3 c chopped pecans shopping list
- FILLING shopping list
- 1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 t vanilla shopping list
- 1 can (15 1/4 oz) pear halves, drained shopping list
- TOPPING shopping list
- 1 t sugar shopping list
- 1/2 t ground cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- In mixing bowl cream butter and sugar. Beat in the flour and vanilla till combined. Sitr in the nuts. Press into a greased 8" square baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or till lightly browned. Cool.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg and vanilla; mix until combined. Pour over crust. Cut pears into 1/8" slices; arrange in a single layer over filling. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over pears.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 26 - 30 minutes (center will be soft set and will become firmer upon cooling). Cool in pan for 45 minutes. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting. Store in fridge.
