Treacle Toffee Recipe

Ingredients

2 lbs. Brown Sugar

2 lbs. Black Treacle

1/2 lb. Margarine

Directions

Put all ingredients together into a pan, allow to dissolve slowly, stirring all the time.

Bring mixture to boil and allow to boil for 5 minutes, again stirring.

Test a drop of mixture in a saucer of cold water for Brittleness

When o.k. Turn into a greased bakin g tin and allow to set and go cool.

When almost set, mark squares or oblongs with a knife, cuting right through the mixture.

When perfectly set it may be broken into pieces
