Ingredients
- Nonstick spray shopping list
- 3 Cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 t salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temp shopping list
- 3 cups sugar shopping list
- 5 large eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 t lemon zest - divided use shopping list
- 1 1/2 t lime zest - divided use shopping list
- 3/4 cups plus 2 T lemon lime soda - divided use shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven 325 Baking Time approx 1 hour 15 minutes
- Spray 12 cup bundt pan with non stick spray
- Whisk flour & salt in bowl to blend
- Beat butter in large bowl of electric mixer until fluffy
- Gradually beat in sugar
- Beat in eggs one at a time
- beat in 1 t lemon zest and 1 t lime zest
- Beat in flour mixture about 3/4 cup at a time alternating with 3/4 cup lemon lime soda
- Beat about 1 minute more
- Transfer batter to prepared bundt pan
- Bake in preheated oven until golden and tests clean, about 1 hour 15 mins
- Cool cake in pan 5 minutes
- FROSTING (This cake is so good you don't even need to frost it)
- Carefully turn cake onto wire rack and cool completely
- Combine powedered sugar and remaining 1/2 t lemon & lime peel
- Whisk in approx 2 T soda to make a thick smooth icing.
- Drizzle icing over cake
