Prize Winning Coconut Pound Cake

- 3 cups sugar shopping list
- 3 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 3 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 8 ounce carton sour cream shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
- 1 6 ounce package frozen coconut shopping list
How to make it
- In mixer bowl with an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar unfil fluffy
- Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition
- Mix flour, salt and soda together in a bowl
- Add to creamed mixture, a little at a time
- Stir in sour cream
- Beat well
- Add flavorings
- Stir in coconut
- Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan
- Bake for 1-1/2 hours at 325 degrees (adjust to your oven)
- Cool for 10 minutes in pan
- Remove from pan to wire rack
- Delicious, and best if made the day before

Obviously she forgot to add that last tiny step, let's not nitpick. It happens, and one would assume all one needs to do is just throw in the coconut and stir...mystery solved!!!!!!!!!!!
