How to make it

  • Beat cream cheese with mixer at high speed until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add cream, 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar and vanilla.
  • Beat this until mixture holds shape.
  • Mound high in a serving bowl.
  • Arrange strawberries in another bowl and sprinkle lightly with confectioners sugar.
  • Serve with cream mixture.

    One summer years ago we spent six weeks traveling around England, and whenever Devonshire cream was anywhere near me I just had to have it. Can't wait to try your version, because it sounds so very good.

    Sounds yummy, though I have a hard time imagining it'll be like the true clotted cream. Still, can't go all that wrong pairing it with scones (without the berries, of course)!

    Who knew you could make your own Devonshire cream? I thought it had to come from Devonshire. Shows how much I know! Well, now I know how to make Devonshire cream...:)
