Delicious! I didn't have any green pepper though. I added a couple of pictures and more comments in IMI. 1/13/14

    Hi, Zena -

I've never made thousand island dressing from scratch. But I've recently had to make every effort to eliminate HFCS, which is dang near impossible with store-bought thousand island dressing, so I went searching for a recipe, and I landed here.

My palate prefers taste with a little less of a kick (unless most of my friends, who like lots of kick in their food LOL), so I had to "blandardize" it a bit to suit my taste (after trying the original recipe and realizing the ketchup and Worcestershire were screaming for attention). :)

I reduced the ketchup to 1/2 cup, reduced the Worcestershire to 1 tsp, added a packet of Splenda for a little extra sweetness, and increased the milk to 1/2 cup to make it a little thinner. I used half the batch in my pasta salad (32 oz. of pasta), just enough to lightly coat the pasta and add a little flavor. It came out fabulous!

Thank you so much for sharing this great recipe!
