The Best Pimento Cheese Spread Recipe

Pimento cheese is a southern favorite used as a sandwich spread or to serve as an appitizer on crackers. Add this to your next cheese and fruit tray!

Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (the better the cheese the better the dish)
- 1 cup shredded white sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 seeded jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
- 1 large jar of pimentos, drained
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste (about 1 t. works well)
- 1/2 cup Hellmans mayo
Directions
- Mix all ingredients well. Add as much mayo as needed to make this spread spreadable.
- Let this stand covered in refrig an hour or more before serving.
- Serve as a sandwich spread or serve with your favorite cracker or bagel chip.
- Delicious appetizer to add to your cheese and fruit tray or alone.

This is the best recipe. I use Mild Cheddar and Jack, and when I don't have a fresh jalapeno, I use the minced jarred jalapenos. This is delicious, delicious!
