Ingredients
  • 1 cup Imperial Sugar/Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 10 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 5 teaspoons grated coconut
  • 6 egg yolks

Directions
  1. In a small bowl bring sugar and water to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Immediately afterwards, add butter and stir at low heat until a thick syrup consitsency appears. Allow syrup to cool. Then, add grated coconut and egg yolks and carefully stir (do not beat) to get a creamy, homogeneous mixture. Pour the mixture into a mold (if you prefer, use individual molds) and then put it in the oven in a double boiler for 35 to 40 minutes at 350°F.
  2. Wait until Flan cools completely and remove from mold.
