Ingredients

How to make it

  • Gently wash berries and dry.
  • Remove stems off tops and turn each berry over.
  • Gently make a crisscross cut into berry and fan out a bit. (opposite stem side!)
  • Mix softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar and liquor or vanilla extract.
  • With a dessert decorator or a plastic bag with one corner cut, pipe the cream cheese mixture into the strawberry.
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over the berries and add a few toasted almonds on top
  • . Chill for the cream cheese and chocolate to harden.
  • Use both white and dark chocolate for presentation-delicious!!
  • I have drizzled a tiny bit of melted caramel over them for a dinner party once along with white and dark chocolate- they also were great!

I have, since an earlier comment, discovered who Paula Deen is--I feel silly- don't really watch to much TV--she is absolutely fabulous and I am now a big fan!! :0)

Hi I do not know who Paula Dean is but saw many recipes for stuffed strawberries and different ways also to stuff them.I got the general idea from a recipe site (can't remember which one I have so many) that suggested dipping the whole bottom of the berry in chocolate.I did the drizzling of the chocolates on my own whim- one time even with melted caramel.Thats whats so nice about this Group- SO many variations of one recipe!!
