Microwave Chocolate Cake

- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 Tbs baking cocoa shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup cold water/ or cold brewed coffee shopping list
- 1/3 cup oil shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla or almond flavor shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the dry ingredients.
- Combine the liquids.
- Stir both together till well blended.
- Pour into a slightly oiled 9 inch square glass or pyrex pan or small microwave fluted mold or a small microwave tube pan for a festive look.
- Cook high heat ( use turntable ) 6 to 8 minutes or until cake tests done in center.
- Cool completely in pan.
- Store airtight as microwave baked goods tend to dry out faster.
- To serve, cut in pieces and serve with a chocolate pudding or sauce over the pieces.
- Note: I have had this recipes for years and of course used a much lower microwave wattage? 650 watts I beleive.
- My suggestion is cook in less time and check for doneness.

Just made this, using a power level of 8 for 8 minutes, in a 9" Pyrex pan. I ended up going 4 more minutes until done. Not bad! A bit dry, but that's because I'm eating it with no sauce or whipped cream :) Definitely hits the spot though!
