Puthiak Chicken

- 1 frying chicken, cut in pieces shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1 to 2 tsp. rosemary shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/2 cup vinegar shopping list
- shortening shopping list
- I add a bay leaf and dashes of white wine shopping list
How to make it
- Brown chicken in a small amount of shortening. Add garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper and vinegar. Cover and simmer for about 30 to 40 minutes. If chicken becomes too dry, add a little water. Uncover and cook 30 minutes or until chicken is tender and most of the liquid has cooked out.
- This is similar to Adobo, but doesn't have onion or soy sauce. More of a traditional Sunday lunch.
