How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Dissove baking soda in boiling water, then stir into first mixture.
  • Add vanilla; add dry ingredients and chips.
  • Drop small balls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes.
  • Makes 5-6 dozen.
  • Doing two dozen at a time with 4 baking sheets (two in the oven, two out) cuts baking time in half.
  • Pig out!
