It's hard to improve on tequila but this is infused with tropical fruits and allowed to "marry" flavors for at least one week... from El Farol Restaurant in Santa Fe, NM

Ingredients
  • 1/4 pineapple, peeled
  • 1/2 papaya, peeled
  • 1/2 mango, peeled
  • 1/4 honeydew melon, peeled
  • 1/2 cantaloupe, peeled
  • 1 vanilla bean, split
  • 1 stick of canela or cinnamon
  • 1 bottle Cuervo Traditional Tequila
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • Hint: To save time and $$ you can get most of the fruit (if not all) already peeled in the produce section of your market

Directions
  1. Place peeled fruit, vanilla bean, and cinnamon in a large glass container (such as a clear glass canister with lid)
  2. Mix tequila with the sugar and pour over the fruit
  3. Cover and set aside at room temperature for 7 days (keep out of the sun)
  4. Serve straight up or on the rocks in beautiful glasses~
