Quick Shrimp Marinara Over Angel Hair Pasta Recipe

Quick Shrimp Marinara Over Angel Hair Pasta Recipe
This light, quick dish is great in the summer time when you don't want to have the oven on. Because the shrimp are already shelled, cleaned, and deveined, it cuts the prep time considerably.

Ingredients
  • 1 medium sized shrimp ring
  • 1 28 oz can of crushed tomato
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Minced garlic
  • Oregano
  • Basil
  • Black Pepper
  • 1 lb Angel Hair Pasta

Directions
  1. Pull the tails off of all the shrimp, and set shrimp aside.
  2. In a medium sauce pan, heat approximately 1 tablespoon of oil over a medium flame.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, sauteeing until light brown.
  4. Add shrimp and sautee until the ends of the shrimp start to curl together.
  5. Add can of crushed tomato and oregano, basil and black pepper to taste, stirring to mix with shrimp and garlic.
  6. Stir occasionally while the pasta is cooking.
  7. In a large pot, boil water for the pasta. Angel Hair cooks very fast, so watch it carefully once you're cooking the pasta.
  8. Drain pasta and replace in large pot.
  9. Pour shrimp sauce over pasta & ENJOY.
