Italian Sausage Soup

I found this soup recipe on the internet a long time ago and it became one of our family favorites. It is fast and easy to make. Sometimes I put other ingredients in the soup but it is optional.
Ingredients
- 1 package Sweet Italian turkey sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces OR, remove from casing shopping list
- 1 can (15 ounce) cannellini beans, rinsed and drained shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 3 cups beef broth shopping list
- 1 can (15 ounce) diced stewed tomatoes shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- Optional Ingredients: shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onions shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots shopping list
- 1 cup v8 juice shopping list
- 1 or 2 beef boullion cubes shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium high heat. Cook sausage stirring constantly, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
