Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients except paprika and butter, roll into 1/2 inch balls, place on greased baking sheet, sprinkle with paprika.
  • Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 15 minutes.
  • Then turn them over, push an indentation in middle of balls with finger, put dab of butter in indentation, return to oven and bake for 5 more minutes.

    I made this the other night with some junky canned crab and I have got to say, NEVER use cheap crab.
    I could see how this could be very good if I had used halfway decent crab.

    softgrey, I do use canned crabmeat, the kind kept with the fresh seafood, not the kind kept with the canned tuna etc. It does make a huge difference. I have used the backfin, lump, superlump and they were all good. I make sure to buy a good brand, my butcher told me which brand to buy that has next to no shell in it. I don't reccomend the jumbo lump, it gets broken up too much to be worth the cost.

    Oh my, this is right up my "taste alley"...I just printed it off and will be trying this for company in May - I already have all the ingredients on hand. I'll let you know how they turned out for me...thank you!
