Creamy Crab And Asparagus Bake Recipe
One of those great casseroles with so many options! Could add spinach, mushrooms, onions, artichokes, etc. etc. We love it like this, though!

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb fresh crab meat
  • 1/2 c asparagus tips (canned - drained, or frozen - thawed and drained)
  • 1/2 c parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. Add bread crumbs to the melting butter.
  2. Stir in half and half, stirring until thick.
  3. Add eggs and seasonings.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add crab and asparagus, and pour into a greased casserole dish.
  6. Top with parmesan
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes

All I can say is, Fantastic recipe!


I have bookmarked this one! I may try to lighten it up a little if you don't mind. I try to keep a can of lump crab meat in the fridge for those days when I need a quick go-to dinner, and it usually ends up being crab cakes...I'm not complaining, but this will be a nice switch! Thanks!
