Gator chicken Sauce Piquante

- 1/4 cup oil shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 small can tomato paste shopping list
- 1 cup diced onion shopping list
- 1/4 cup diced bell pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup green onion tops shopping list
- 3 cups water shopping list
- juice of half of a lemon shopping list
- 6-8 chicken breast or 3 lbs alligator meat shopping list
- 2 T salt shopping list
- 1 T red pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In heavy sauce pan make roux with flour and oil; golden brown. Add onion, tomato paste and bell pepper until onion has wilted. Slowly whisk in water until there are no lump ans simmer 45 minutes. Season your meat with salt, pepper and lemon juice add to saucepan along with green onion tops. Cook about an hour until meat is tender and serve over hot rice.

Whatcha got against alligator meat?

sounds real good. I love gator. only had it made 1 way. fried. so good. My husband got it at a resturant and I copied it after I found where to get them here in Michigan
