Red Beets With Pineapple

This recipe comes from the McCain Estate in Garland, Texas. I have not made it, but it is marked as a family favorite and since I LOVE beets I intend to make it very soon. Enjoy
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup pineapple tidbits undrained shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice shopping list
- 2 cups sliced red beets drained shopping list
How to make it
- Combine brown sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan.
- Add pineapple stirring constantly until thick and bubbly.
- Add butter, lemon juice and beets then heat thoroughly for 5 minutes.

Undecided on this dish. Not to crazy about it hot. Maybe it will taste better cold.
