Cornbread Dressing That Everybody Recipe

Ingredients

2 packs of sweet cornbread baked according to instructions

1 package of sage breakfast sausage

1 small onion chopped

1 small red bell pepper chopped

1 small green bell pepper chopped

1 to 2 ribs of celery chopped

1 to 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped

chicken broth

rubbed or ground sage

1 tablespoon white sugar

salt

pepper

Directions

Cut cornbread into cubes and set aside

In fairly large pot saute onions, bell peppers, celery, and

garlic in butter add sage breakfast sausage making sure to

break it up into small pieces while cooking.

add cubed corbread and start adding chicken broth to moisten

dressing.

add sugar, rubbed or ground sage, and season to taste.

(dont omit sage it really makes it good)

So glad to see that you use peppers in your recipe! So many folks don't. I love green peppers in my dressing! I use the sugar when I cook the corn bread (as opposed to adding it to the dressing mixture). I don't guess there's much difference in that though...right?
