I saw this awhile ago on the Kraft site and have been dreaming of it ever since. Nanaimo Bars are popular in Canada and there is a reason for that. They are to die for! This cheesecake has to be good!

I have made this recipe several times and several partakers have said that they like this even better than Nainaimo Bars. I agree with them as I find Nanaimo bars too sweet also. What I really like about this recipe is that it uses Chocolate cookie crumbs and it's more tasty than using graham cracker crumbs with the mixed in melted chocolate.
I do have one comment about using vanilla pudding powder ..... DON'T DO IT! There's a reason it calls for Bird's Custard powder. I tried the pudding powder and it really didn't turn out as firm and yellow as using Bird's. I felt the taste wasn't the same either.
