Lobster Alfredo with Mushrooms

- ½ pound mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- 10 tablespoons butter shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 dash black pepper, coarsely ground shopping list
- 2 each Maine lobsters (1¼ lbs.), cooked and meat removed shopping list
- 1 pint heavy cream shopping list
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated shopping list
- 4 servings fettuccini, cooked shopping list
How to make it
- Sauté mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter, garlic powder, salt and pepper over medium heat until tender. Add the lobster meat and heat for 1 minute, tossing gently with the mushrooms. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Melt one stick of butter. Add the heavy cream and stir constantly over medium high heat until mixture boils and thickens. Add the fresh Parmesan cheese and cook until cheese is melted and mixture is smooth. Add the lobster and mushrooms and stir until well heated. Pour over the cooked fettuccini and serve immediately.
