My Granny's version of an old favorite, served for breakfast with poached eggs like 'eggs benedict' gone chipped beef, or served alone on toast or biscuits...creamy, comforting and super easy and quick.

I had a friend when I was a kid whose mom used to make this all the time ... we'd have it over toast and I remember thinking it was wierd because she'd serve us milk with ice cubes in it... thanks for the memory, haven't had this stuff in YEARS! Might have to make it for old time's sake! :)
