How to make it

  • Spray 1 1/2 quart casserole with cooking spray
  • Arrange half of the potato slices in dish
  • Drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Sprinkle with half the salt, half the pepper, half the garlic powder and half the cheese
  • Repeat the procedure with the remaining potato slices, oil, salt pepper, garlic powder and cheese
  • Bring milk to a boil on stovetop or microwave
  • Pour milk over potato mixture
  • Bake potatoes, uncovered, at 425 degrees for 40 minutes or unitl potatoes are tender
  • Let stand 10 minutes before serving

    I don't comment on recipes until I try them, and I cooked this last night.

    It is outstanding. A lot like scalloped potatoes, but easier. Cooked perfectly in time prescribed in recipe, but I did find that I needed to cover with foil to keep it from getting to brown.

    WOW this does sound good. I was looking for a recipe for some red potatoes I need to use up and I have found it now. :) Will be making this tonight. Thanks so much for the post.
