Bourbon Brined Chicken

- 1c bourbon shopping list
- 2Tbs. salt shopping list
- 2Tbs. packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2Tbs. mulling spices shopping list
- 1c orange juice shopping list
- 2tsp crushed garlic shopping list
- 4 boneless,skinless chicken breast halves shopping list
How to make it
- Marinade
- In a small saucepan, combine bourbon,salt,brown sugar and mulling spices. Bring to a boil;reduce heat. Simmer,stirring frequently till salt and sugar are dissolved. Stir in orange juice and garlic. Cool to room temperature.
- Rinse chicken under cold water,pat drywith paper towels. Place in a large zip-top bag. Pour marinade into bag. Squeeze air ou;seal. Gently massage bag to combine. Marinate for 2-3 hours.
- Set up grill for direct grilling over med-high heat. Oil grate when ready to start cooking. Let chicken stand at room temp. for 30 mins. Remove chicken from marinade;discard marinade. Place chicken on hot,oiled grill and cook 5-6 mins per side or till chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear.
- This can also be broiled 6-8" from the heat for 5-6 mins a side.
