Beer Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Beer Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Just a little different slant on an old favorite. My husband thinks you can't have this without some nice crusty garlic bread to sop up the sauce with.

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds sirloin, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 2 Tbs. canola oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 Tbs. butter
  • 8 oz. sliced fresh mushrooms (button or crimini)
  • 1/8 tsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbs. flour
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 12-oz. can beer
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions
  1. Brown meat in oil in large skillet. Sprinkle meat with salt and remove from skillet. Add sliced onion, butter and mushrooms. Cook just til onion is translucent and mushrooms are tender. Push veggies to side of the pan. Stir flour and paprika into drippings and brown for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Add beer and Worcestershire. Stir and cook til thickened and bubbly. Return meat to pan; cook over med. low heat for about 15 minutes or til meat is nice and tender. Stir in sour cream and heat through but do not allow to come to a boil. Serve over noodles or rice. We like this served over Klusky noodles.

Oh wow, this sounds fantastic. Can't wait to try. Great recipe, you have my 5.

Very nice share. Never done the beer ingredient, but
will try and let you know. Would choose kluski over
bread though. Thanks, Mare
