Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage - mild italian out of casing will do
  • 1 8 ounce package of cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound large fresh jalapeno peppers, halved lenthwise and seeded
  • 1 pound bacon - cut slices in half
  • wooden toothpicks

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. Place sausage in a skillet over medium heat and cook until everly
  3. brown. Drain grease.
  4. Cut jalapeno peppers in half - scoop seeds out with spoon.
  5. In a bowl, mix the sausage, cream cheese, and parmesan cheese. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of sausage mixture into each jalapeno half.
  6. Wrap one half bacon slice around jalapeno and secure with a wooden toothpick.
  7. Arrange stuffed halves in baking dishes.
  8. Bake 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until bubbly and lighly browned.

LT, I could KISS you - what a great stuffing for jalapenos...can't WAIT to try these (maybe this weekend??) - I wish I could sink my teeth into them right now...delish - thank you, thank you for sharing!! (ps, this is pretty much what my sil puts in her stuffed zucchini, minus the mushrooms and onions...I love this filling!)
