How to make it

  • In a large dutch oven, cook the beef and the next 3 ingredients over medium heat until meat is browned and vegetables are tender; drain.
  • Stir in the beans and remaining ingredients, except the additional onions and cheddar cheese.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce heat; simmer uncovered, for 30 minutes or until chili reaches desire thickness.
  • Ladle into serving bowls; garnish with chopped onion an cheddar cheese if desired.

    This recipe makes 16 servings not 6 so this is a great recipe to serve for a crowd or just to have leftovers. Plus it does freeze well. I hope you will try it - sooooooo good!

    Guess I will have to make this recipe. I will leave out the salt as I have found enough salt in all the canned items. This recipe sounds good, will have to take a couple of pics when I make it. Thanks, JJ.
