My Cole Slaw Recipe
Great tasting cole slaw. The most important ingredient is the celery seed. Sets this slaw apart from the rest.

  • 1 bag pre-shreaded cabbage-carrot mix for cole slaw
  • 1c Hellman's mayonaisse
  • 2 Tbs rice -wine vinegar or white vinegar
  • dollop of dijon mustard
  • 1tsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbs celery seed

Directions
  1. To make the dressing,grab a mixing bowl and add a cup of Hellman's(or Best Foods) mayonaiise,vinegar,dijon,sugar,and salt and pepper. Most of all,add the Tbs. celery seed(not salt).
  2. add cabbage mixture to dressing,toss till evenly coated,and refrigerate for an hour or more till ready to eat.

Mike loves cole slaw and I like the idea of using the preshredded kind. Your dressing ingredients are wonderful!


I just made your slaw and it's going to be really good. Can't wait for dinner! Substituted with light mayo and splenda to make it "figure friendly" and used deli style mustard as I was out of Dijon. Thanks for sharing this - it's a keeper. :)
