Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 3 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 3 cups whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate sauce and white hearts:
  • 7 oz plain chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 oz white chocolate, melted
  • Cocoa powder

Directions
  1. Pour 1/4 cup water into metal bowl; sprinkle gelatin over. Let stand until gelatin softens, about 10 minutes. Set bowl in saucepan of simmering water. Stir just until gelatin dissolves, about 1 minute.
  2. Combine cream, sugar, and vanilla in heavy large saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Add gelatin mixture and whisk until well blended.
  3. Lightly grease seven 3/4-cup custard cups. Divide cream mixture among cups. Chill overnight. Set cups in small bowl of warm water to loosen panna cotta, about 20 seconds each. Run small knife between panna cotta and custard cups. Invert panna cotta onto plates.
  4. For chocolate sauce:
  5. Heat the heavy cream over medium heat until simmering point and pour over the chopped chocolate. Stir until chocolate melts, add the butter and stir again. Leave to cool completely. Drizzle with tablespoon around the panna cotta and make small dots of white chocolate over the chocolate sauce. Use a skewer or toothpick to divide the white chocolate dots into halves making the hearts shape. Sift some cocoa powder over the top. Serve.

WOW !!!!!!ANOY ANOTHER SHOW STOPPER,AHMED

Great! Panna cotta recipe with chocolate... I always tried it with fruits, and I prepare Panna cotta with plain yogurt, but this is an excellent idea... Thanks.

You just keep outdoing yourself every time! Bravo!

Ahmed, I love the silkiness of panna cotta. How delightfully delicious. I couldn't leave off the chocolate. I remember my first attempt at a Bavarian Creme in 1974....it was surely a sad affair. My layers were muddled and it was so much work. I certainly apprecite the beauty of this recipe. Absolutely awesome, my friend.

Absolutely perfect! Don't have any words anymore for you. I've used them all on you already!

This sounds like it will taste wonderfully decadent...and it is simply beautiful and special looking....Sweet Romance on a plate!
