How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. Cut in peanut butter with a fork. Add egg and milk. Stir just until moistened.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn loaf out onto rack and cool completely.
  • Per serving: 255 calories, 9 g protein, 33 g carb, 2 g fiber, 11 g fat (2 g sat.), 23 mg cholesterol, 438 mg sodium.

    This is a very good bread.I made it with Splenda and should have added an extra egg.However, it is very good toasted with butter.
