Ingredients

¾ cup sugar

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup cider vinegar

1 small onion, chopped (optional)

1 cup vegetable oil

2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Directions

Place all ingredients, EXCEPT OIL AND POPPY SEEDS, in a blender.

Through the top of the blender, gradually pour in the oil, while running the blender on medium/high.

Mixture will thicken as the oil is blended in.

When thickened, add the poppy seeds and process just until mixed into the dressing.

This dressing will keep for a long time in the refrigerator, in a covered container.
