Sausage And Chicken Skillet Recipe
This is really very good and fast dish for when you don't want to spend the day cooking. Serve this with a big green salad, bread like crusty Italian, iced tea

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper divided
  • 1-1/2 tsp. canola;a oil
  • 1/4 lb. kielbasa sausage cut into 1/4" slices
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup uncooked long grain rice
  • 1/2 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 tsp. Tabasco pepper sauce

Directions
  1. Sprinkle chicken with 1/4 tsp. thyme and 1/8 tsp. pepper. In
  2. a large nonstick skillet, sauté chicken in oil until no longer pink. Remove and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet sauté kielbasa, onion, green pepper and garlic until vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in water, rice, bouillon, Tabasco and remaining thyme and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
  7. Return chicken to pan and heat through.
