Sausage and Chicken Skillet

- 1/2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper divided shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp. canola;a oil shopping list
- 1/4 lb. kielbasa sausage cut into 1/4" slices shopping list
- 1 small onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 small green pepper, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1 cup uncooked long grain rice shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. chicken bouillon granules shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco pepper sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Sprinkle chicken with 1/4 tsp. thyme and 1/8 tsp. pepper. In
- a large nonstick skillet, sauté chicken in oil until no longer pink. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet sauté kielbasa, onion, green pepper and garlic until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in water, rice, bouillon, Tabasco and remaining thyme and pepper.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
- Return chicken to pan and heat through.
