Strawberry Crisp

A very yummy dessert.....ice cream is very good with it, too! :)
Ingredients
- 2 pints fresh strawberries shopping list
- 3 Tbs. granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbs. cornstarch shopping list
- 3 Tbs. orange juice shopping list
- 9 pecan Sandies cookies shopping list
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts shopping list
- dash of nutmeg shopping list
- 3 Tbs. melted butter shopping list
How to make it
- Slice the cleaned strawberries into a bowl.
- Add granulated sugar, cornstarch and orange juice.
- Mix well and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Place cookies in a bag and crush them.
- Pour the cookie crumbs into another bowl.
- Add brown sugar, walnuts, nutmeg and melted butter to the crumbs.
- Stir until it forms a crumbly dough.
- Pour the strawberries into a glass baking dish ( 8 X 11 ) and spread them out evenly.
- Scatter the cookie topping evenly over the strawberries, then gently stir in a bit with a fork.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Enjoy! :)
